Story Time Chess

About this board game

Story Time Chess is a two-player chess learning game for children ages 3 and up, released in 2019. It uses silly stories, vibrant illustrations, custom chess pieces, a unique chess board, and an engaging card game to make the rules of chess simple and fun.

Designed for young children, the game presents chess concepts through storytelling and supporting materials. Rather than relying on prior knowledge, it communicates the rules in an accessible way for both children and adults.

The experience brings together several elements to support learning:

• Silly stories that communicate the rules of chess
• Vibrant illustrations for an engaging presentation
• Custom chess pieces and a unique chess board
• An engaging card game that supports the learning experience

Story Time Chess is made for families who want to introduce children to chess in a playful format. Parents and children do not need chess experience to begin learning together, making the game approachable for newcomers.

With its combination of stories, visual materials, and game components, Story Time Chess turns the introduction to chess into an imaginative shared activity. It is designed to make learning the game feel straightforward, welcoming, and enjoyable for young players.
