About this board game
White Bear & Red Moon is a fantasy wargame for 1–3 players, with an approximately 90-minute playing time, set in the world of Glorantha. It depicts the conflict between the armies of Sartar and the opposing Lunar Empire.
Across nine scenarios, players explore the game’s distinctive fantasy warfare through a broad selection of forces. The design includes heroes, exotics, and independents, each contributing to the challenge of learning how to use different units effectively.
White Bear & Red Moon is known as “the game that started it all.” Its 32-page rulebook and more than 300 counters support battles on a mono-color map measuring 22 by 34 inches. The game has been described as very playable once players begin to understand the unique abilities of its many units and learn to use them wisely.
