About this board game

International Cricket is a detailed ball-by-ball cricket replay game for 1–2 players, with One-Day International matches taking about 120 minutes. It can also recreate five-day Test matches in approximately 10 hours.

Designed in the spirit of Strat-o-Matic, the game uses individual player cards to reflect career statistics, character, and playing style. It includes cards for players from the main Test-playing countries, including England, Australia, India, Pakistan, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, the West Indies, and Zimbabwe.

The One-Day International module recreates limited-overs cricket over a 50-over match. Four batting modes, pitch effects, and new-ball effects help distinguish the unfolding action, while the game’s replay-focused design supports both solo play and face-to-face matches.

  • One-Day International and Test Match Replay rules
  • Individual player cards with statistical and playing-style detail
  • Four batting modes in the One-Day International module
  • Nine grades of attacking and defensive fields for Test matches
  • Bowler stamina rules and the additional Test batting mode, Shutters Up
  • Eleven pitch types, with further variety available through the Worldwide Weather charts extension

The expanded Test Match Replay module adds changing wicket conditions, full weather rules, and a broader range of tactical field settings. Nature of the wicket can change throughout the match, creating a longer-form recreation of Test cricket.

Released in 1985, International Cricket has continued through licensed production, yearly updates, historical series, and additional weather, pitch, and domestic-team materials. Its detailed systems and broad replay options make it a substantial cricket simulation for players who want to follow a match ball by ball.
