About this board game

Street Kings is a strategic underground racing game for 2–6 players, with sessions lasting about 120 minutes. Released in 2016, it puts you at the start of an epic racing career, where careful preparation and race results lead from a humble D-class car to the title of Street King.

This is not a roll-and-move game: there are no dice. Instead, players build their advantage through decisions made before each race. Buy cars from classes A, B, or C, purchase upgrades to improve car stats, hire crew to improve performance, and install nitrous for a potential winning edge.

Each round begins when the first player chooses the class for the race. During the action phase, players can also select a race location from cards in hand, visit the car show to earn credits, and qualify a car for the starting grid.

• Begin at the bottom with D-class cars.
• Spend credits on cars, upgrades, crew, and advancement to the next class.
• Choose the locations where the race will take place.
• Race through two selected locations and earn trophies and credits based on finishing position.

After the action phase comes the race, where your car, upgrades, crew, and nitrous combine to determine your performance. Once the race is complete, players clean up their cards and pawns, remove the locations, and pass the first-player marker before a new round begins.

In Street Kings, every race contributes to a larger career. The first player to collect seven gold trophies triggers one final championship race. Win that final contest and claim the crown as the Street King of your town.
