About this board game

Phantom Ink: Arcana is a 2–8 player party game with 30-minute play time, featuring rival teams, hidden questions, and spirit-written clues.

This standalone expansion to Phantom Ink includes 75 new question cards, more than 200 secret objects, and 22 fully illustrated, tarot-themed Arcana cards. It also introduces a cooperative mode for 2–3 players.

In the competitive game, two teams attempt to identify the same secret object. Each team’s spirit knows the answer, while the mediums choose question cards and pass them to their spirit in turn. Questions might ask what the object would have as a pet or what a jumbo version of it is called.

The spirit answers each question by writing a clue. The catch is that the opposing team cannot see which question was asked, but it can see the answer. When mediums think they know what clue their spirit is writing, they can call “Silencio”, making it harder for the other team to gain information.

• Arcana cards: Spend crystals to activate one-time or permanent bonuses.
• Special abilities: Increase the number of question cards available or secretly reveal the next letter of a clue.
• Multiple modes: Compete in teams or work together in the cooperative 2–3 player mode.

Every question is a calculated risk: ask for useful information while revealing as little as possible to your rivals. With its expanded question deck, mysterious objects, and tactical Arcana powers, Phantom Ink: Arcana adds new ways to interpret clues and outwit the opposing team.
