About this board game

The Medusa Report is a cooperative tabletop puzzle game for 1–5 players, with a 240-minute play time. Work together to decipher clues, investigate a Cold War mystery, and discover the current location of Abigail Vandermist.

After four decades serving a secret intelligence agency, Abigail has disappeared. She has uncovered something connected to an old rescue mission into the USSR, a nuclear physicist, and her enigmatic father. Now she is on the run, and others are trying to find her first.

Your investigation centers on the mysterious organization S.E.A. and the events that took place near Nikitagrad in 1974. The game presents a treasure trove of touch-real confidential items from a Cold War infiltration mission, inviting you to examine the evidence and piece together what really happened.

  1. Receive a letter from Helena by mail asking for your help.
  2. Wait for a package containing a report written by Abigail, Helena’s sister.
  3. Decipher the clues in the report to find Abigail’s current location.
  4. Upload your solution to Helena on a website to learn whether it is correct.

The Medusa Report is the sequel to The Vandermist Dossier. Each title works as a standalone game, while the two games also form a longer story together. The game follows the same format as its predecessor, combining a mailed letter, a physical report, and collaborative puzzle solving into a focused investigation.
