Ettin

About this board game

Ettin is a 2–8-player card-drafting game with an approximately 60-minute play time, in which teams of two nations compete in fierce skirmishes and fast-moving global conflicts.

From the mists of war, great nations rise together like a two-headed giant. Each alliance combines its strengths as it faces neighboring enemies, sharing strategies, defenses, and resources while working toward a triumphant destiny.

Every team is built around a pair of nations, creating a cooperative partnership within the larger competition. Allies play together against opposing teams, while each nation brings its own focus and playing style to the alliance.

• Card drafting: Build your plans by selecting cards during play.
• Teams of two: Pair nations to combine their strengths and confront rival alliances.
• Eight unique nations: Each offers a different focus and playing style, whether as a formidable opponent or a reliable friend.
• Quick global conflicts: Pairs of enemies and allies play at the same time, keeping even climactic eight-player conflicts surprisingly quick.

With support for 2–8 players, Ettin scales from a small contest between alliances to a crowded struggle involving four teams. Its simultaneous play keeps the action moving as neighboring enemies clash and allied nations coordinate their efforts.

The game can also expand beyond its standard player count: with multiple copies, it supports 16 or more players. Released in 2020, Ettin offers a large-scale alliance experience centered on drafting, shared strengths, and rapid conflicts between rival pairs.
