About this board game

Tadaaam! is a drawing and guessing game for 4–9 players that takes about 30 minutes to play. Players independently draw the right and left halves of a picture, then reveal the results and guess what the other players intended to create.

The game uses cards to suggest what should be drawn. These prompts include people, objects, and animals, giving each round a different kind of subject. Every player works on a wipe-clean board with pens, creating one half of a recognisable picture without seeing the other half.

Once the drawings are revealed, players try to identify pictures they did not draw. The contrast between the two independently created halves is central to the experience, as everyone attempts to make the finished image clear enough for others to recognise.

Tadaaam! includes several categories to vary the difficulty and style of the prompts:

  • Easy
  • Normal
  • Difficult
  • Character

A spinner adds another layer of challenge by applying one of six drawing restrictions. Depending on the result, players might draw with the ear on the table, draw blind under the table, use the “wrong” hand, or draw without the thumb.

With its combination of suggested subjects, wipe-clean drawing boards, independent halves, and unexpected restrictions, Tadaaam! turns simple drawing into a playful test of communication and recognition. It is a revision and repackaging of the earlier game Split Personality, with additional components and expanded prompt options.
