About this board game

Insert Coin to Play is a 20-minute drawing and puzzle game for 2–6 players, where you complete levels, unlock bonuses, and aim for the highest score.

Each player takes a sheet from the notepad, called a GamePad. After the cards are shuffled, everyone receives five cards and chooses three of them. The shapes shown on those three cards are drawn into the three Level boxes on the GamePad, so careful drawing is important from the very beginning.

To prepare the deck, all cards are shuffled again and divided into two piles of 15 cards. One GAME OVER card is shuffled into each pile, and the piles are placed together in the middle of the table. At the beginning of each turn, reveal the top card so that every player can see it.

Each revealed card shows two white symbols. Every player chooses one symbol and draws it inside one of the shapes in their Level boxes, filling empty squares. The chosen symbol may be rotated or mirrored horizontally and/or vertically, but it must remain within the contours of the selected Level shape.

• Choose one of two symbols from the revealed card.
• Rotate or mirror the chosen symbol as needed.
• Fill empty squares while staying inside a Level’s shape.
• Alternatively, lose 1 Life and fill 1 square without using a symbol.

This alternative gives players another way to fill a chosen shape: instead of using either symbol on the flipped card, they may lose 1 Life and fill one square. Insert Coin to Play combines spatial decision-making with the challenge of completing the Level shapes accurately.
