About this board game

Mission to Planet Hexx! is a retro-sci-fi map-building and dice-rolling card game for 2–4 players, with games lasting about 90 minutes.

Each player uses a hand of six hex-shaped cards to build a map of space and planets. As the map develops, players roll dice and move their spaceships around the galaxy, collecting the data needed to advance their individual objectives.

Collected data is used to upload hex cards to a player’s Mission File. The first player to complete their Mission File wins the game, giving every journey through the growing map a clear purpose.

Mission to Planet Hexx! is designed as a light game, while its complexity comes from the possible interactions between the hex cards. Events add another way for cards and players to influence the unfolding game.

With its retro-sci-fi theme, map-building system, dice-driven movement, and card interactions, Mission to Planet Hexx! combines several familiar ideas in one compact experience. The game includes elements similar to Magic: The Gathering, alongside similarities to other map-building games.
