Wicked Cribbage

About this board game

Wicked Cribbage is a 2–4-player card game that overlays traditional cribbage, with an approximately 45-minute play time. Released in 2024, it uses the familiar rules, a standard 52-card deck, and a cribbage board.

The core game remains regular cribbage, but two new types of Wicked Cribbage cards add strategic choices and enhance existing elements of chance. Each card has a fittingly descriptive cribbage name and enters play at a specific moment.

• Twinkler: This card must be played immediately when drawn. It is drawn when the count reaches 15 or 31 during The Play.
• Lugger: This card is held until you decide to use it. It is drawn during The Show when a player pegs at an exact multiple of 5, such as 5, 10, 15, or 20.

When you draw a Wicked Cribbage card, follow its instructions. The new cards create moments of timing and decision-making within the established cribbage framework, while the trigger points make chance part of the experience.

Victory is achieved in the same way as in cribbage: the first player to reach 121 points wins. With familiar rules at its foundation and two distinct card effects layered over them, Wicked Cribbage offers a modified take on a classic card game for 2–4 players.
