About this board game

Jibber Jabble is a teamwork, sabotage, and spelling game for 3–30 players with a 120-minute play time, released in 2024. In each round, one player becomes the Jibber, while the others work to help them guess a secret word.

The Jibber’s teammates provide three clue words, but they cannot communicate with each other to decide what those clues should be. Instead, the clues are spelled out one letter at a time, creating a restricted and unpredictable form of teamwork.

Starting with the player to the Jibber’s left, each player takes a turn choosing one of three actions: give a letter, end a word, or play a power card. The round concludes when the Jibber either successfully or unsuccessfully guesses the secret word.

  • Party Mode: A simple, cooperative, and friendly option for larger groups. There is no scoring system, so you can continue playing for as long as you like.
  • Sabotage Mode: A more competitive format recommended for 4–9 players who are comfortable being pitted against one another.

In Sabotage Mode, players take on one of two roles. Jabblers try to provide helpful clue words, while Jesters covertly sabotage the clues by giving unhelpful letters or using power cards to disrupt the play order.

Start with Party Mode to learn the core mechanics, then move on to Sabotage Mode when you are ready for more tension and opposition. With its unusual spelling system and shifting cooperation, Jibber Jabble turns every clue into a group challenge.
