Legends of Draxia

About this board game

Legends of Draxia is a fantasy strategy card game for 2–6 players, with games lasting about 60 minutes. Players manage resources, construct buildings, cast spells, and defeat monsters while working toward the highest score.

At the beginning of the game, each player draws three random cards from the character deck. Every character includes a secret end-game bonus; players choose one character and discard the other two. This hidden objective adds an important layer to decisions throughout the game, as players must use their resources without exposing their bonus.

Players take turns drawing two resource cards from the main deck into their hands. The resources available to them, together with the abilities provided by buildings they have constructed, determine which actions they can afford. Resources can be spent in several valuable ways:

• Buy spells
• Construct buildings
• Fight monsters

Careful resource management is central to every turn. Players must weigh immediate opportunities against their longer-term plans, choosing when to develop their buildings, acquire spells, or take on monsters for points.

The game ends when all cathedral buildings have been constructed or when the monster deck is exhausted. Players then total the points from the buildings they constructed and the monsters they destroyed, adding the points from their secret character bonus.

With multiple scoring sources and a concealed end-game objective, Legends of Draxia combines card-driven resource decisions with fantasy-themed building, spellcasting, and monster battles. The player with the highest final score wins.
