About this board game
18Dixie with 18MS and 18GA is a Southeast United States 18xx game for 2–6 players, with a listed play time of 150 minutes. The collection combines a full game with two smaller maps and shared components in one box.
Players compete for the greatest net worth by investing in railroad companies. At the end of the game, each player’s result combines their personal cash holdings with the value of the stocks they own, while company funds remain separate from player money.
Gameplay alternates between Stock Rounds and Operating Rounds. During Stock Rounds, players buy and sell shares in the available railroad companies. During Operating Rounds, companies develop their networks by laying tracks, placing stations, and buying and running trains.
- 18Dixie: a Southeast U.S. 18xx game focused on railroad investment and company operations.
- 18MS: a separate mini game set in Mississippi, Alabama, and parts of adjoining states.
- 18GA: included with its smaller map on the back of the large 18Dixie map.
18MS uses some components from 18Dixie alongside additional components created specifically for the mini game. Its compact format is designed to provide a smaller, shorter introduction to the 18xx system and may be useful when teaching newer players.
In 18MS, the game consists of five Stock Rounds, each followed by two Operating Rounds. Whether exploring the larger 18Dixie experience or using the shorter 18MS format, 18Dixie with 18MS and 18GA brings share dealing, railroad development, and financial competition together in one collection.
