About this board game
Cloaked Cats is a deduction-focused board game for 2–4 players that plays in around 20 minutes. At the Cloaked Cat ball, every guest is a velvet-pawed mystery, and players must work out what they can about one another.
The heart of the game is the careful use of cat cards. Players try to play their cards skillfully while drawing the right conclusions from the information available. At the same time, they must avoid revealing too much about themselves.
This creates a contest of observation, inference, and restraint. Every decision can help you understand another player, but it may also offer the others a clue about you. The challenge is to gather useful information without making your own identity or secrets too easy to uncover.
- For 2–4 players
- Approximately 20 minutes of play time
- Cat-card play focused on deduction and unmasking
- A setting filled with mysterious, velvet-pawed guests
To succeed, players need to combine card play with sharp conclusions. Those who reveal too little may struggle to learn enough, while those who reveal too much can give their opponents an advantage. The best approach balances investigation with discretion throughout the gathering.
In Cloaked Cats, victory goes to the player who can deduce the most information about the other players. Released in 2019, it offers a compact social mystery built around reading the table, managing clues, and trying to remain concealed until the right moment.
