Bone to Pick

About this board game

Bone to Pick is a semi-cooperative party game for 1–6 players, with games lasting around 40 minutes. Set in a ruined 17th-century Europe overrun by the undead, it challenges survivors to defend their haven while competing for glory.

Each player receives a personal Weapon Deck of 12 cards, while 10 Undead Cards are drawn at random to form the unknown Undead Deck. In each battle, players choose a weapon card and reveal simultaneously. The combined strength of the weapons determines whether the haven survives the onslaught or falls to the horde.

Victory is not only about defeating the undead. The player who uses the strongest Weapon Card can claim the defeated Undead Card as a trophy, creating a tense balance between cooperation and personal advantage. If the haven survives, remaining weapon strength and trophy points determine the LEGEND. If it is razed, the highest remaining weapon strength instead identifies the SCAPEGOAT.

• Quick Game: Battle through a single undead assault.
• Campaign Mode: Fight through four increasingly powerful waves, upgrading weapons between battles.
• Epic Mode: Raise the bar for an even greater challenge.

Campaign play also rewards the best defenders after each wave, while the final result is determined by the combined scores from all four battles if the haven still stands. With simultaneous card play, uncertain enemy strength, trophy collecting, and the ever-present danger of betrayal, Bone to Pick makes every decision matter.

The base game requires the Weapon Decks and Undead Deck. With two core boxes, the game can be played with up to 12 players.
