About this board game

Fish & Katz is a speed game for 2–6 players that takes about 30 minutes to play. Set in Tsukiji Market, the most famous fish market in the cat’s world, it challenges kitten chefs to compete for the freshest fish for their restaurants.

Each round, a number of fish cards are displayed on the table. After the count of three, all players simultaneously point their cloth cat paws at the fish card they want. If you are the only player pointing at a card, you collect it for set-collection scoring.

Competition becomes especially tense when several players reach for the same choice. If two or more players point at the same fish card, none of them get it, so timing and careful observation matter as much as knowing which fish to pursue.

  • Players: 2–6
  • Playing time: 30 minutes
  • Core mechanics: Simultaneous selection and set collection
  • Standout component: Cloth cat paws with selectable cat patterns

Choose the finger cloth featuring your favorite cat pattern, then stretch your paws toward the most delicious fish at lightning speed. The first player to score 6 points wins.

First released as Cat’s Tsukiji, Fish & Katz combines charming cat-themed components with a direct, competitive race for cards. Every round asks you to spot an opportunity, commit at the right moment, and hope your fellow chefs are reaching somewhere else.
