About this board game
Lumina is a memory-search game for 2–4 players that plays in around 15 minutes. On the island of Lumina, magical glitter beings flutter through the deep forest and across the wide fields, hiding in mysterious places.
Finding them is not easy. Some glitter beings conceal themselves in old shipwrecks off the coast, while others hide among the enchanted ruins on the island. The routes between these locations are long, so players must remember how to travel from one place to the next.
During the game, success depends on having the best memory for the different paths across Lumina. The first player to find five glitter beings wins, turning every journey into a test of concentration and recollection.
- Players: 2–4
- Playing time: about 15 minutes
- Core challenge: remember the paths between locations
- Goal: be the first to find five glitter beings
- Difficulty: includes two levels of play, including a professional variant
With short rules designed for quick play, Lumina offers an accessible way to enjoy a themed memory challenge. The simpler level provides a straightforward introduction, while the professional variant gives experienced players a more demanding test of their ability to recall the island's routes.
Released in 2016, Lumina combines a charming fantasy setting with a focused memory mechanism. Whether searching among shipwrecks, exploring enchanted ruins, or recalling the way from one place to another, players compete to uncover the hidden glitter beings before anyone else.
