About this board game

ScrumBrawl is a competitive arena game for 2–4 players, with matches lasting about 20–60 minutes depending on player count. Players command fantastic creatures, maneuver enchanted orbs into portals, and fight rival creatures for supremacy.

Each creature token enters the 20×20-square Arena when summoned. The 100-card deck includes 50 different creatures, each with characteristics that shape its movement, throwing range, throwing accuracy, catching ability, and combat effectiveness. Many creatures also possess unique magic abilities that can alter the developing contest.

Scoring combines tactical ball handling with direct confrontation. Creatures can pick up, carry, hand off, and throw orb tokens toward portal tokens, while successfully destroying an opposing creature earns a combat goal called a Skin. Dice determine combat results as well as the success of throws and catches, and Alter Reality cards can change individual roll values when a crucial outcome is contested.

  • Enchantment cards enhance creatures with improved statistics, new abilities, or greater resilience in combat.
  • Event cards, including Lightning Storms and Fumbles, can shift the flow of play in seconds.
  • In a four-player game, players can compete in teams of two.

The game ends when a player or team reaches three goals, including at least one goal that is not a Skin. With no lead guaranteed and every roll open to disruption, ScrumBrawl creates unpredictable matches in which scoring, positioning, magic, and combat constantly compete for attention.
