About this board game

Wurst Case Scenario is a funny, lightweight family game for 2–6 players that takes about 15 minutes to play. In a chaotic sausage factory, bad sausages have come alive, and the only way to make them fit for consumption is to send them along a conveyor belt toward the meat grinder.

Each player receives a secret identity card and takes responsibility for one of the sausages. Every turn, all players play one card to influence the sausages’ positions. Once every card has been played, all sausages move one position farther along the belt toward the grinder.

The sausages are not willing to give up easily. They try to stay alive by running away from the meat grinder and pushing other sausages ahead of them. The factory’s condiment characters add more twists: the Must-ard gives commands that must be followed, while the May-onnaise offers options that players might use. And, of course, there is the Ketchup.

  • Secret identity cards keep each player’s allegiance hidden.
  • Cards let everyone influence the sausages each turn.
  • Eliminated players continue playing cards and plotting revenge.
  • The last sausage remaining on the belt wins—unless several sausages reach the grinder at the same time.

When a sausage reaches the grinder, it is eliminated, but its owner remains in the game and continues playing cards. The game ends when only one sausage is left on the belt, and that sausage’s owner wins. However, eliminated players can work together to send the final sausages into the grinder simultaneously. If they succeed, nobody wins—and that is the true Wurst Case Scenario.
