Robotech: Attack on the SDF-1 is a cooperative board game for 1–5 players, with sessions lasting around 160 minutes. Players take on the roles of heroic characters aboard the Super Dimension Fortress One, known as the SDF-1, as alien Zentraedi forces launch a sudden attack.

The SDF-1 faces continuous waves of Zentraedi assaults, along with unexpected disasters and acts of treachery. To survive, the heroes must battle vicious enemies, repair damage, and manage their limited resources while trying to keep the fortress safe.

Every decision can shape the journey. Players must make difficult choices and accept sacrifices as they work to protect the SDF-1 and guide it home safely. The pressure continues throughout the scenario, and the Zentraedi will not give up.
