About this board game
Clue VCR Mystery Game is a 1985 deduction game for 2–10 players, with each game lasting about 60 minutes.
This classic whodunit brings the Clue tradition to a series of 18 different cases, each hosted by the butler, Mr. Didit. Over-the-top acting and scripting give every mystery a distinctive theatrical character while keeping the focus on clever deduction.
The familiar mystery question becomes more involved: players must determine who murdered whom, with what weapon, and in what room. Each case features more than one murder, so the investigation goes beyond the familiar fate of Mr. Boddy.
- 18 different cases to investigate
- Multiple murders in every case
- Suspect identities to uncover
- Characters from the original and Master Detective versions
There is also an additional identity puzzle at the table. Each player plays one of the suspects, and players must discover who is who as well as solving the murders. That combination adds another layer to the deduction game and makes the players themselves part of the mystery.
With its scripted presentation, memorable cast of characters, and layered cases, Clue VCR Mystery Game offers a distinctive take on the classic whodunit. A sequel, Clue II: Murder in Disguise VCR Mystery Game, was produced in 1988.
