About this board game
Quack-Quack, Corrupt Ducks is a 30-minute ladder-climbing card game for 2–4 players, released in 2022. Set during a period of turmoil in the Quack-Quack dynasty, it challenges players to survive a chaotic struggle for power, status, and wealth.
Every player receives the same number of cards and attempts to shed them by playing combinations. Each new play must be stronger than the combination previously played, with strength determined by both the combination’s status and its number of cards. This creates a constant contest of timing, judgment, and escalating pressure.
Survival means taking advantage of the shifting order. At different moments, you may act as a corrupt official, exploiting the lower classes and accumulating wealth, or as a secret royal inspector, punishing those officials. You may also join the revolution, helping overturn the established world.
- Ladder climbing: Play a stronger combination than the one before it.
- Status-driven strength: Combination power depends on status and card count.
- Chaotic special plays: “Revolution!” and “Here comes royal inspector!” introduce fierce battles.
These powerful effects can disrupt the normal flow and turn a promising position into a desperate fight for survival. The result is a compact card game where the social order is constantly challenged and every play can change who holds the advantage.
With its blend of shedding cards, competing combinations, shifting roles, and revolutionary upheaval, Quack-Quack, Corrupt Ducks delivers a sharp struggle through a dynasty in crisis.
