About this board game

Ghooost! is a fast Halloween-themed card game for 2–6 players, with games lasting about 20 minutes. Clear the supernatural creatures from your hand and mansion while sending troublesome cards toward your opponents.

Cards represent ghosts, undead, vampires, zombies, and other spooky residents. On your turn, play one or more matching cards onto the Cemetery, matching or exceeding the previous value. Your objective is to empty both your hand and your mansion before the other players do.

The game unfolds in two stages. During the first, you prepare your hand by playing cards, taking the Cemetery into your hand, or drawing from the Crypt and attempting to play the card. Once the Crypt is empty, the second stage begins, and players continue playing valid cards or collecting the Cemetery.

• Start with four ghost cards in hand and 4–12 cards in your mansion.
• Ghosts come in four suits and have values from 1 to 14.
• Scary red ghosts can be topped only by fearless ghosts, other scary ghosts, or a ghost quartet.
• Fearless ghosts can be played regardless of what is on top of the Cemetery.

Matching cards create powerful turns. Playing two or three matching ghosts gives you another turn immediately, while four matching cards—or a play that completes a quartet—removes those cards and the Cemetery from play before you continue.

When your hand is empty, reveal cards from your mansion and try to play them. Empty both areas to leave the game; play continues until only one player still has cards, and that player loses. With a scoring system for multiple rounds, Ghooost! combines quick decisions, dramatic reversals, and spooky card-play tactics.
