Sage Stones

About this board game

Sage Stones is a piece-placement and dice-rolling strategy game for 2–6 players, with an approximately 60-minute play time. Set in an age of swords and sorcery, it challenges rival Sages to settle their disputes through cunning, tactics, and luck.

Each player rolls 3D3—three six-sided dice with the numbers 1–3 repeated twice—and places a stone on the corresponding column. Every roll can shape your plans, while the dice themselves may help or hinder your efforts.

The goal is simple but the path is contested: be the first Sage to place all 10 of your stones. Yet occupying the board is not enough. If your pieces become surrounded, they are banished from the board, forcing you to account for both your own placement and the tactics of your opponents.

Beyond the gameplay, the boards are designed as individual works of art. Each one is made from exotic and local woods, pearlescent colored resin, and a protective resin layer, making every board unique.

A routed hanging notch also lets you display the board in your Study when it is not in play. Released in 2022, Sage Stones combines a distinctive presentation with a competitive placement challenge for Sages seeking the chance to forge their own empire.
