About this board game
Vegeterrors is a must-not-follow trick-taking game for 3–4 players, with a playing time of about 50 minutes. Here, the players do not win the tricks: the monsters, represented by the suits, battle to claim them.
During each hand, players keep track of how many tricks each suit wins. Before the outcome is known, however, everyone chooses one card from their hand to bet on which suit they think will win the most tricks.
This prediction is central to the scoring. Points are awarded to players who select the winning suit, but the reward is lower when more people choose the same suit. Reading the developing contest and judging whether to follow the apparent favorite or make a less crowded prediction are key parts of the game.
- Players: 3–4
- Playing time: approximately 50 minutes
- Core idea: suits compete to win tricks while players bet on the leading suit
- Scoring: correct predictions earn points, with fewer points when more players predict the same suit
Vegeterrors combines trick-taking with prediction and competitive scoring. Because the monsters—not the players—win the tricks, each hand focuses on monitoring the suits and anticipating which one will finish ahead.
For players who enjoy tracking trick totals and weighing the value of a popular prediction against a more distinctive choice, Vegeterrors offers a focused contest built around uncertainty, timing, and the struggle between the monster suits.
