About this board game

Stellar Expedition is a space exploration board game for 1–4 players, with sessions lasting about 120 minutes. Players take the roles of captains sent through a recently activated gate left behind by the ancient aliens known as the Nameless.

The gate will not remain open forever. Beyond it lies an unexplored region of space filled with opportunities and dangers, and each captain must make the most of the limited time available before returning through the gateway.

Choose to represent one of four factions: the half-Robot, half-insect Hive mind of Tognath, the cunning Maheri tribes, the spacefaring tree-hugging Sky-Lords of Edda, or the humans of the United Nations Explorer Corps. Your faction is part of your identity as you compete for recognition back home.

To earn Expedition points, take on missions and build the support needed to complete them. You will need to befriend the locals and assemble an effective crew capable of overcoming the threats of this mysterious frontier.

• Explore the regions beyond the ancient space gate.
• Recruit crew members and befriend local inhabitants.
• Build embassies and acquire valuable resources.
• Complete missions to gain Expedition points and prestige.
• Return through the gate before it shuts down.

Stellar Expedition unfolds across 8 rounds, creating a race against both your opponents and the closing gateway. At the end of the final round, the captain who brings home the most Expedition points wins the space race.
