About this board game
Gullible is a bluff game for 2–10 players that takes about 25 minutes to play. Two teams compete by answering unusual questions and trying to make the opposing team believe an invented answer.
When a team asks a question, it presents three possible answers: one true answer and two false answers made up on the spot. The opposing team must decide which choice is genuine, balancing judgment against the temptation to follow a convincing lie.
Players place their chips on the answer they believe is correct. Chips wagered on the true answer are kept, while chips placed on false answers are lost. This creates a simple but strategic risk-and-reward decision every time a question is asked.
- Invent hilarious lies to disguise the real answer.
- Discover surprising facts through unusual questions.
- Bet chips on the answer you think is true.
- Challenge the opposing team in a race to keep your chips.
Questions can lead to incredible true stories, such as asking for the name of Jacques Chirac’s dog at Paris town hall. The fun comes from making false answers sound plausible while judging whether the other team has uncovered a fact or created an especially persuasive fiction.
Keep the chips you place correctly and lose the ones committed to wrong answers. In Gullible, the first team to run out of chips loses, so every bet can shift the contest and every confident lie may become a decisive play.
