Dino Twist

About this board game

Dino Twist is a fast family card game for 2–6 players that takes about 20 minutes. Players battle dinosaurs on the Island of Twist, recover them for their own islands, and aim to finish with the most points.

Each game begins by randomly selecting 10 events from a set of 25. Starting with the second turn, an event is revealed at the beginning of each turn and applies to all players, adding changing conditions to the dinosaur battles.

All players choose a dinosaur from their hand, place it face down, and reveal their choices simultaneously. If players reveal dinosaurs of the same species and strength, those dinosaurs cannot attack the Island of Twist and are discarded into the cemetery.

• The smaller dinosaur strikes first.
• Each species can attack only its own species.
• A dinosaur must have greater strength to attack another dinosaur.
• Captured dinosaurs are taken back to the attacking player’s island.

After the 10 events, players compare the points on their islands. Bonuses are awarded to the players who finish their islands first, second, and third, as well as to the player with the most dinosaurs featuring big claws.

Dino Twist includes two island options for different levels of play. The children’s initiation game allows dinosaurs of any species to be placed freely on an island. The advanced game requires players to respect territories and species, offering a more demanding version of the same dinosaur contest.
