Scare It!

About this board game

Scare It! is a fast-playing family game for 1–8 players that takes around 20 minutes to play. In this lively animal chain, each creature is frightened by another: the mouse fears the cat, the cat fears the dog, the dog fears the elephant, and the elephant fears the tiny mouse.

At the start of the game, each player receives two secret objective cards. One shows an animal type, while the other shows a color. These hidden objectives shape the choices you make as the table gradually empties.

On your turn, choose one animal to be scared away and another animal to do the scaring. The result is a simple but engaging decision: send an animal running in panic while considering which animals and colors you want left behind.

After a number of animals have run away, everyone reveals their secret animal and color cards. Players then score points for the animals and colors still on the table, giving the earlier scares their final significance.
