About this board game

Very Bad Lands: Brachio is a chaotic dinosaur survival game for 3–6 players, with games lasting around 20 minutes. Each player takes on a dinosaur species struggling to stay alive while disasters threaten to turn every decision upside down.

On your turn, make one crucial choice: keep your card, swap it with the player to your left, or exchange it for the card in the middle of the table. At the end of the round, all cards are revealed. The dinosaur with the lowest number loses 1 Life, so every choice matters.

Simple decisions become far less predictable when disastrous card effects enter the game. Meteorite strikes, landslides, droughts, and other dangers can reshape the situation, creating sudden reversals and plenty of chaos. Each dinosaur also has a special power that can help it survive or push an opponent closer to extinction.

  • Easy-to-follow choice: keep your card or swap it with another card.
  • Unpredictable disasters: card effects can disrupt the game and change its course.
  • Unique dinosaur powers: use your species’ ability to survive or hinder your opponents.
  • Fast, inclusive play: designed for 3–6 players and about 20 minutes.

The game ends when one dinosaur loses all its Lives. Every remaining dinosaur shares the glorious victory, making survival the only goal that truly matters.

With its prehistoric setting and illustrations created by designer Marc Larivière, Very Bad Lands: Brachio delivers dizzying highs, crushing lows, and a different experience every time. Combine it with Very Bad Lands – T-rex for more dinosaurs, disasters, and chaos, supporting up to 10 players.
