About this board game
Peak is a two-player board game with a play time of about 25 minutes, released in 2021. Every move revolves around one precise rule: you must jump over exactly two playing pieces.
The two pieces you jump over can be arranged in several ways. They may be on top of one another, next to one another, or separated by any distance. Empty spaces do not count as playing pieces, so they can be jumped over and may also be used as destination spaces.
- Jump over exactly two playing pieces on every move.
- The jumped pieces can be adjacent, stacked, or separated.
- Empty spaces are ignored and can be crossed.
- A piece can land on an occupied destination space to create a stack.
If the chosen destination already contains a playing piece, the moving piece is placed on top of it. These stacks become the central focus of the game, as their final arrangement determines who scores each tower.
At the end of the game, only the piece on top of a tower determines which player scores that tower. Every playing piece in the tower is worth one point, making the height of a stack important even though its top piece controls the scoring.
In Peak, careful movement and smart stacking work together. The player who stacks best and claims the most pieces wins, turning the simple requirement to jump two pieces into the key challenge of every move.
