Alveola: The City of Bees is a 2023 board game for 2–4 players, with games lasting about 35 minutes. Take flight with your bee colony and begin building a new hive.
Carefully choose the tiles you want to use as you expand your hive or raise it higher. Place your workers where they can gather as much honey as possible, and use your queen to control the hive as it rises.
Flowers add another important element to the hive. Put them to good use to trigger powerful abilities, creating opportunities as you develop your colony and decide how to use each tile.
But your bees are not alone. Hornets prowl around in search of food, adding a constant threat to the flow of the game. Each turn follows a clear sequence, giving players a series of actions to carry out in order:
- Use a Flower Ability.
- Select a tile to expand or raise the hive.
- Place or move a Bee.
- Move a Hornet.
From selecting tiles and positioning workers to gathering honey and managing the movement of hornets, every turn helps shape the growing hive. Alveola: The City of Bees brings together tile selection, bee placement, hive building, flowers, and roaming hornets in a focused experience for 2–4 players.
