About this board game
Sherlock Junior: Suriguri is a cooperative mystery game for 2–8 players, with a play time of approximately 60 minutes. The Suriguri suricata has vanished from the zoo, and your team of detectives must determine who took it, how it happened, and why.
Each mystery case features 32 clues. Players reveal information one card at a time, deciding whether to place a clue face up for everyone to read or discard it face down. Read shared information aloud, discuss theories, and work together to identify which details matter most.
- Reveal information: Play a card face up so all players can read or see its complete information.
- Discard a card: Place a card face down without commenting on it until the end of the game.
- Build a theory: Review the available information and combine it with what players remember from discarded cards.
There is a catch: irrelevant clues cost points at the end of the game, while vital information may be necessary to resolve the case. Players can share theories at any time and discuss the cards in their hands, but they cannot show those cards to the other players. Only the words in bold or text framed inside an image may be read aloud from a card that has not been revealed.
When every clue has been revealed or discarded, the whole team freely discusses what happened and completes the questionnaire. Each correct answer adds two points, making careful observation, memory, and discussion essential. With its disappearing-animal mystery and shared investigation, Sherlock Junior: Suriguri invites players to uncover the truth clue by clue.
