About this board game

Lemonade Stand is a 20-minute game for 2–4 players about running a neighborhood lemonade stand over seven summer days.

You are eleven years old, the Fourth of July is one week away, and you want to earn enough money for fireworks. Your friends have the same idea, so each day becomes a friendly competition to see who can build the biggest pile of cash.

At the start of every turn, reveal a forecast card. It shows the expected weather, the number of customers, and the price customers will pay for each possible weather outcome. Before the actual weather is known, every player secretly chooses a price card worth 5, 10, or 15 cents, along with any signs and lemonade inventory they want to put out.

  • Play across seven turns, representing seven days.
  • Use forecast cards to evaluate possible weather outcomes.
  • Choose a price, signs, and lemonade inventory simultaneously.
  • Earn or lose money based on the weather that actually occurs.

Once everyone has made their choices, reveal the selections. A new forecast card points to one of five spaces on the previous card, determining which weather event occurred that day. Players then collect money according to their chosen price and the amount of lemonade invested, compared with the day’s actual weather.

Money can be gained or lost as the week unfolds, making each decision a balance between preparation, pricing, and uncertain conditions. In Lemonade Stand, the player with the most money after seven rounds wins the bragging rights—and the chance to imagine spending those profits on Fourth of July fireworks.
