About this board game
Druid is a strategy card game for 2–5 players that plays in about 30 minutes. Set in ancient Northern Europe, it challenges players to compete for powerful artifacts and relics through simultaneous card play, careful observation, and prediction.
Each game lasts six rounds, and every player uses the same hand of 15 colored cards throughout the game. The deck contains five colors, with three cards of each color, so luck is limited and every played card can return to your hand at the end of a round.
Each round unfolds through a series of increasingly focused plays. Players first place three colored cards face down and reveal them together, then play and reveal two more cards, followed by one final card. This creates a total of six revealed cards per player before the round reaches its resolution phase.
Artifacts each show a dominant color and a sub-dominant color. The player with the most cards matching the dominant color claims the artifact. If players tie, the number of matching sub-dominant cards determines who receives it. With several different color requirements in play, players must anticipate their opponents’ plans while optimizing their own color choices.
- Simultaneous action and progressive card reveals
- Color majority contests with sub-dominant tiebreakers
- Set collection and special abilities from acquired cards
- Six rounds of prediction, observation, and strategic adaptation
During the game, players seek cards that provide end-game points and special abilities. At the end of six rounds, scoring is based on the amounts collected in each set and the number of gem relics held. In Druid, the player with the most points wins.
