About this board game

Thieves! is a speedy bluffing card game for 3–6 players that plays in about 20 minutes. You are a crafty crook trying to escape with the biggest share of loot after a huge heist.

Each round, draw a card and play one from your hand. You can place a loot card face down in front of yourself, keeping your stash secret, or play it face up in front of another player to overload their stash. Every decision offers a chance to build your own fortune or interfere with an opponent’s plans.

Keep watch as the police presence grows. If a raid is triggered, the player holding the most loot at that moment is busted and loses all the loot they are holding. The game then continues, with additional loot and further raids still ahead.

• Bluff by hiding loot face down in your own stash.
• Use face-up loot to overload another player.
• Play Police and special Thief cards to affect the game.
• Watch for getaway cars and the race toward the seventh one.

Getaway cars must be played immediately when drawn. When the seventh getaway car appears, the player with the most valuable loot wins the game, so timing and risk management matter right through the final escape.
