About this board game
Mini Park is a tile-laying board game for 2–5 players that takes about 25 minutes to play. In this game, players become architects responsible for designing a new park while citizens await its completion.
On each turn, players randomly draw different types of installation tiles and build the park according to placement rules. Every tile contributes to the evolving layout, so players must plan where each part of the park belongs as the design takes shape.
The park can include a range of installations and natural features, including:
- Playgrounds for children
- Benches for people taking a rest
- Trees where birds can perch
- A lake where fish can swim
- Bushes where cats can hide
Building the park is only part of the challenge. Players must also seize opportunities to place characters onto the corresponding park installations. These placements are central to scoring, creating a contest between careful tile placement and timely use of the completed or developing spaces.
As the park fills, each decision helps shape both its appearance and the players’ scoring opportunities. The placement rules encourage players to consider how installations connect and where characters can be placed most effectively.
When the park is completed, the player with the most points wins. Released in 2017, Mini Park combines accessible park-building with tactical character placement in a compact game about planning, opportunity, and competition.
