Mutabo: Family & Kids

About this board game

Mutabo: Family & Kids is a 20-minute party game for 3–6 players in which sentences and drawings pass from player to player, changing as they go.

Each round begins with a player creating a sentence from two cards: one card provides the beginning, and another provides the end. The completed sentence is written on a paper and passed to the left.

The next player draws what they read, then hides the original sentence before passing the paper onward. Another player writes what they see, and the process continues as players alternate between words and images. This creates a chain of interpretations in which the original sentence can develop in unexpected ways.

• Write sentences using a beginning card and an end card.
• Draw what the previous player has written.
• Hide the original text and pass the paper to the left.
• Continue until the papers are full.

A round ends when all the papers are full. Scoring is less important than the results, but players can vote for the funniest images or sentences that appear during the round.
