About this board game

Eric Solomon’s Corporation is a highly abstract race game for 1–4 players, with a playing time of approximately 30 minutes. First released in 2009, it challenges players to take control of a corporation by promoting their own men to the Board of Directors.

The action builds toward the Boardroom, located at the top of the building. Players race to advance their men through the game and reach this decisive corporate position before their opponents can do the same.

Corporation began as Lawmakers, a novel kind of abstract race game. Its central idea is distinctive: the printed rules are immutable, but players can manipulate the laws that govern how pieces move.

  • Players: 1–4
  • Playing time: approximately 30 minutes
  • Core concept: manipulate movement laws while racing toward the Boardroom
  • Objective: promote your own men to the Board of Directors before your opponents

This combination of fixed printed rules and changing movement laws gives Eric Solomon’s Corporation its unusual identity. Rather than simply following a static movement system, players interact with the laws that shape how pieces travel, creating the game’s distinctive abstract challenge.

Later themed and renamed by Néstor Romeral Andrés, the game presents its original abstract concept through a corporate setting. For players interested in concise, strategic race games with an unusual rules-based mechanism, Eric Solomon’s Corporation offers a focused contest for control of the corporation.
