Glory Islands

About this board game

Glory Islands is a pirate board game for 2-4 players, played in about 45 minutes, in which rival captains compete to become the King of the Pirates.

Set in 1660, the game challenges players to outwit their opponents while seeking fame and fortune across the islands. Its easy-to-learn rules and fast, simple turns make every round quick to resolve and full of meaningful choices.

Each round, players simultaneously play sailing cards from their hands. The card values determine turn order, how far ships move, and where pirates can be placed on the board. Some cards also provide bonus actions that can give a player an advantage.

• Place pirates to gain glory, treasure tokens, or barrels.
• Compete for control as islands fill with pirates.
• Use card values to influence movement, turn order, and placement.
• Play with two different game boards and a mini-expansion included in the box.

When all spaces on an island are occupied, the player with the most pirates there gains the most glory. This creates a race for valuable positions while ships continue their journey around the islands.

The game ends when one or more pirate ships complete the route. In Glory Islands, the player with the most glory earns the title of King of the Pirates.
