The Perfumer is a fragrance-focused board game for 2–5 players, with a playing time of about 90 minutes. Released in 2016, it introduces a distinctive sense of smell into the game’s rules through real fragrances printed onto cards.

Players take on the role of aspiring perfumers who must develop a keen knowledge of fragrance ingredients. By smelling the odors on the cards, they explore all over the world to collect the ingredients needed for their work.

The central challenge is turning those ingredients into successful perfumes. Players attempt to fulfill clients’ orders for unique perfumes, drawing on their ability to recognize and distinguish the different fragrance ingredients. Each completed order brings them closer to earning the most honors.
