About this board game
Flag Dash is a 2–4 player board game of capture the flag with secret movement programming, tactical planning, and teamwork, played in about 40 minutes. Take on the role of a childhood friend returning to a favorite pastime and try to outmaneuver the opposing team.
Each player controls a runner with a unique special ability, while teammates share control of a defender. The game continues over multiple rounds until one team returns home with the opposing team’s flag or collects a complete set of flags worn by the opposing characters.
At the start of every round, each player secretly plans two moves in advance. For each move, choose an action card and a priority token, then place both face-down. When it is time to resolve the first move, players reveal their priority tokens and act in order from the lowest numbered token to the highest. The process is then repeated for the second move before the action cards return to players’ hands.
Guessing your opponents’ intentions and coordinating with your teammate are just as important as choosing where to move. Six illustrated characters, including the Wanna-be Ninja, Modern Cowboy, and Crazy Cat Lady, each bring a distinctive player power, while multiple gameplay variations help make every game different.
- Tactical planning, guessing, and teamwork
- Movement programming that is simple to learn but offers strategic depth
- Wooden pawns carrying wooden flags
