About this board game
Elixir is a board game for 2–4 players, with games lasting about 60 minutes, in which wizards race to create the Elixir of Life.
The Elixir is made from three potions known as Parts One, Two, and Three. Its secret formula is unknown at the start, so players must experiment by combining ingredients and brewing potions in their laboratories.
Move around the gameboard to collect what you need from three ingredient shops: Special Supplies, the Herbalist, and the Jeweller’s. A potion requires at least one special supply, one herb, and one or more gems. The result may be one of the three Elixir parts—or another potion with a useful effect.
- Collect special supplies, herbs, and gems.
- Experiment with ingredients to discover potion formulas.
- Use helpful potions, such as Speedy Soda, to move around the board faster.
- Watch out for mysterious strangers encountered in the street.
The street brings an extra risk whenever you stop there. Some mysterious strangers are friendly, while others try to attack you, adding danger to your search for the required ingredients.
In Elixir, every discovery can bring you closer to immortality, but the right ingredients must be collected and successfully brewed. The first player who has all three parts of the Elixir of Life at the end of their turn wins the game.
