About this board game

Season Ticket Baseball is a baseball simulation for 1–2 players with an approximately 60-minute play time. Players manage one or both teams, making lineup, pitching, defensive, and baserunning decisions throughout the game.

The game uses player cards, stadium cards, and three dice: one six-sided die and two ten-sided dice. Together, the dice generate a result from 100 to 699, directing play to the appropriate card or table.

  • 100–299: consult the current pitcher.
  • 300–499: consult the current batter.
  • 500–509: use the Rare Play table.
  • 510–599: consult a defensive player based on the tens digit.
  • 600 or higher: consult the Stadium Card.

Results appear directly on the player and stadium cards, so no secondary charts are required. Player cards are normalized to league averages, allowing realistic results when comparing players or teams from different eras.

Before and during play, managers choose the starting pitcher, batting order, and defensive assignments. Strategic options include runner advancement, steal attempts, sacrifice bunts, squeeze plays, and defensive positioning. These decisions give Season Ticket Baseball a focused way to recreate the managerial choices surrounding each result.

For solo play, the Auto Manager section provides rules for the opposing manager’s decisions in different situations. Tables cover runner advancement, steal attempts, bunting, holding the runner, pitching around the hitter, and pinch hitting, supporting a complete one-player game.
