About this board game
The Three Little Wolves is a family game for 2–4 players that takes about 20 minutes to play. In this 2020 game, you help three little wolves build houses for the Big Bad Pig while competing to score the most points.
Each player builds three houses in front of them: blue, green, and red. On your turn, play one card from your hand to add to one house, then refill your hand to four cards. Cards are played from small numbers to large, so building higher can improve your chance of scoring.
However, tall houses can attract unwanted attention. When the Big Bad Pig is drawn, it rewards the tallest house at that moment. The reward may help you pull ahead, but your buildings must remain tall enough until the end of the game—or the Big Bad Pig can punish you.
- Build all three houses by playing cards in ascending order.
- Choose whether to add to a house or discard a card.
- Send one of your wolves to live in another player’s house for a chance to score points.
- Watch for the Big Bad Pig and judge when to take risks.
The third time the Big Bad Pig rewards the tallest house, the game ends. Players then compare the heights of their buildings, and the shortest house of each color is knocked down by the Big Bad Pig. With careful planning, disguises, and a little luck in your hand, can you build the highest houses and give your wolves the best home?
The Three Little Wolves combines accessible family play with tactical choices about building, discarding, and sending wolves to opponents. Whoever scores the most points wins.
