About this board game

Vol de Nuit is a cooperative board game for 2–5 players, with games lasting about 90 minutes. Inspired by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s masterpiece and created in partnership with the Fondation Saint-Exupéry, it places players in the roles of Aéropostale airmail pilots flying through the night.

Your team must deliver the mail from Patagonia while facing storms, wind, fog, and other disturbances. The shared goal is to move the plane across the board, avoid as many dangerous spaces as possible, and keep the crew alive until dawn.

Every turn is divided into three phases: drawing, planning, and piloting. Before the plane can advance, the crew must prepare a detailed Flight Plan. Communication is shaped by cards and by the Hope Gauge, which gradually decreases as the group encounters disturbance cards.

Success depends on cooperation, careful planning, and trust in the Captain of the turn. Players must listen to one another and develop a strategy together, while managing the risks of a flight that can quickly become a struggle for survival.

  • Reach a Dawn Hex to deliver the mail and win together.
  • Run out of Hope or exhaust the Fuel Stack, and the plane crashes into the night.
  • Explore six double-sided, combinable terrain boards for varied games.
  • Use more than 150 cards, plus three Relay Tiles for a special game mode.

With its changing terrain, shared decisions, and mounting dangers, Vol de Nuit turns a night flight into a tense cooperative challenge. Keep hope alive, conserve your fuel, and guide the plane toward the first light of day.
