About this board game

Robots is a cooperative board game for 2–6 players that takes about 15 minutes to play. Working as a team, you develop a sense of time and speed by observing how quickly Robbi moves.

Robbi rolls for about four seconds, but the distance he travels depends on his speed. Your challenge is to understand that movement well enough to know exactly where he will stop.

The game focuses on timing, speed, and shared observation rather than complicated rules. Each attempt gives your team an opportunity to refine its sense of how far Robbi can travel in the available time.

As you play, communicate with the other players and work toward a precise prediction. Success comes from building a collective understanding of Robbi’s movement and using that understanding to judge his stopping point.

First published as Wir sind die Roboter (We Are the Robots), Robots was released in 2020. Its short play time and team-based focus make it a concise activity centered on perception, estimation, and the relationship between time and motion.
