About this board game
Whitewater is a river-racing board game for 2–6 players, with games lasting about 60 minutes. Guide courageous rafters through dangerous waters, navigating obstacles while trying to keep your paddles and crew inside the raft.
Each raft contains four crew members: two from you and two from another player. Players direct the actions of the crew within a raft, making every movement important as the race heads downstream. You can also use Energy cards to provide additional help to one raft or the other.
The river is filled with hazards that can disrupt even your best-laid plans. Dice represent the effects of obstacles you encounter, while another raft may push you in a direction you would rather not go. Careful navigation and timely decisions are essential if you want to reach safety.
- Race down a dangerous river while guiding your rafters.
- Control crew members within the rafts and use Energy cards for extra assistance.
- Face rocks, driftwood, and the dreaded whirlpool.
- Earn points by getting your rafts and passengers home safely.
Whitewater combines hazardous river navigation with shifting interactions between rafts. The presence of crew from different players creates a tense contest for control, while dice and river obstacles add uncertainty to every journey.
Released in 2012, Whitewater challenges players to balance planning with the unpredictable effects of hazards and rival rafts. Keep your crew aboard, survive the treacherous waters, and earn points by bringing your rafts and passengers home safely.
