About this board game

Legend Raiders is a 2022 board game for 2–4 players, with games lasting about 45 minutes. Each player takes the role of an adventurer competing to collect the most ancient coins and earn the title of the world’s best explorer.

Each round, four missions appear on the main board. Every mission combines a discovery with two randomly supplied tools, such as ropes, shovels, compasses, and maps. On a turn, choose whether to take a discovery and its associated tools onto your personal board, or perform one or more discoveries using tools you already have.

Treasures require specific tool combinations, while mythical places demand more tools but provide more victory points in later expeditions. Using your favorite tool earns additional points, and a torch can act as a joker when it is switched off—provided it is currently on.

• Reveal ancient coins on your personal board to determine the points gained from new treasures.
• Resolve missions individually for more visible coins, or complete several in one turn to gain a time-related benefit.
• Discover legendary treasures to choose expedition cards from the four available at the bureau.

Expedition cards provide goals that can award victory points at the end of the game. At the beginning of each round, the adventure die grants a benefit—or may cause every player’s torches to be flipped over.

Legend Raiders ends when the first player uncovers six or more ancient treasures. Carefully manage your tools, choose when to dig deeper, and decide which discoveries will lead to the greatest haul of ancient coins.
